“Swing Into Spring”, the PTO’s annual fundraiser auction, will take place this year on Saturday, April 27, from 6:00 to 10:00pm at the Mount Washington Tavern at 5700 Newbury Street. Tickets are $40 each, or two for $75. (Two tickets for $80 if purchased after April 15.) The auction features food, music, and a cash bar, and free childcare will be provided for MWS students at the school’s Upper Building.
Join school parents, neighbors, teachers, administration, and alumni for both a silent and live auction. You will have the chance to bid on small and large items, ranging from jewelry and toys to dinners at local restaurants, tickets for events, day trips, and weekend get-away packages.
If you have never been to the auction, it is a fun time to socialize with other parents in a child-free environment. Come business casual and enjoy fine food and drink. One of our parents has volunteered to DJ! Consider whether you have a special skill, object, or opportunity that you could donate to the auction.
While having fun at the auction, you are also supporting the educational experience for all Mount Washington School children. Proceeds from the auction support PTO-funded activities and resources, including field trips and buses, basketball uniforms, magazine subscriptions, playground maintenance and enhancements, and free babysitting during school events.
If you would like to use the free childcare, please contact Mr. Day ((address removed)) to register your children. Drop off at 6:00 in the Upper Building gym and pick up at 10:00. Please send each child with $2 for pizza and snacks.
