Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled each report card period. The following dates have been scheduled for this year:
- October 5, 2011, 5:00–8:00 pm
- December 14, 2011, beginning at 1:00 pm
- March 1, 2012, 5:00–8:00 pm
- May 16, 2012, beginning at 1:00 pm
Each teacher develops his or her own schedule for conferences using a sign-up sheet posted on or near the classroom door a few days before parent-teacher conference day. If a parent is unable to come to the classroom to sign up for a conference, then the parent may request a conference by sending a note or email to the teacher.
Progress reports and report cards are one vehicle teachers use to communicate about each student’s progress. The progress report is issued midway through each quarter and report cards are issued at the end of each quarter. This information can be used to help students understand how they are doing in various subjects. Parents should use this information to help their child continue their success or identify ways to improve.
Progress reports will be issued on the following dates in 2011–12:
- October 3, 2011
- December 13, 2011
- February 29, 2012
- May 11, 2012
Report cards are issued at the end of each quarter, on the following dates this year:
- November 11, 2011
- January 25, 2012
- April 13, 2012
- June 11, 2012 (unless inclement weather extends the school year)
