One teacher from each grade provides tutoring related to the skills and concepts students are required to know in each grade. Tutoring is offered as an after school opportunity for one hour in math and one hour in reading per week. Notices are sent home to parents of students teachers have identified as benefiting from this opportunity. Each parent is responsible for ensuring their child is picked up on time.
Summer School is provided for students entering grades K–5. The program is offered four hours per day for four weeks, generally in July. The program focuses on reviewing skills from the previous year as well as preparing students for the upcoming year in both reading and math skills.
Teachers recommend students participate and parents may enroll their children as well. Registration is announced in the monthly bulletins regarding where to get registration forms, timelines and other important information.
